"This cast had my complete attention from beginning to end. I haven't been this engaged in a stage production in years! The music, movement, set, performance and everything else were superb!" ~Patrick, Surrey
"Absolutely hypnotic! Bite the bullet and see this play! You will be mesmerized from the very first moment the giant creepy clown man comes on stage and invites you into witness a macabre carnival of 'human oddity'. The small, yet energetic band of musicians keeps the spell going all night. The story designers for Cirque du Soleil could learn a thing or two from Black Rider... A wickedly avant garde kind of Cabaret written by a mind the likes of Tim Burton. That, however, does not really do it justice... you just have to see it for yourself. My 14 year old son and my 64 year old husband were BOTH blow away... (and that doesn't happen very often) Arts Club... Please, please, please bring this back again !!!" ~Sharon, White Rock
"Black Rider was outstanding. An exhilarating brew of folk tale, song and gymnastics woven together with a bit of panto and real magic. Great performance. Loved it!" ~Victoria, Burnaby
"One of the most amazing, unique performances my husband or I had ever seen! Reminded us there is never anything quite like live theatre!" ~Pamela, Maple Ridge
"It was thrilling! Absolutely thrilling….The acting was marvelous….I can hardly describe it, I was on the edge of my ****ing seat….I had my breath taken away—honestly." ~Krystal, North Vancouver
"Absolutely astonishing. Amazing performances. The best play I have ever seen." ~Anonymous
"Absolutely incredible. A piece of art that shouldn't be missed. I'm going to see it again!" ~Tracy
"I have waited many years to see The Black Rider. I was so very excited on my way to the theatre, and I wasn't disappointed at all in your production. The music was incredible, the performance energetic, and the time just flew by. Mackenzie Gray sounded almost exactly like Tom Waits, Kevin Corey was an endearing as Wilhelm, and Michael Scholar Jr. was very sexy and evil as Satan/Pegleg. I also liked the sparse set design. The show was funny, dark, scary, and kept all the wonderful weird that was William S. Burroughs. I want to see it again!" ~Cherise, Vancouver
"Go see this amazing and magical play..it is one of the best pieces of live theatre that I have see in a few years. The play is virtually flawless in all aspects of its performance. The acting, singing, choreography are brilliantly melded with the lighting and stagecraft. It is a dark tragic-comic piece that parallels William Burroughs own life. Robert Wilson's hand is also apparent as his unique stylistic sense prevails throughout the lighting, staging and visual wizardry. The play received a standing ovation and deservedly so!" ~ Norm, Burnaby
"The best show ever. I saw it twice. I was on the edge of my seat the entire night. Go see this show!" ~Adriana, Vancouver
"Brilliant. I loved the Tom Waits album and used to listen to it constantly. I took my wife to see it, and it was the most fun we’ve had at a play in a long time. Funny, scary and disturbing. An incredible performance; thanks much. I heartily recommend it." ~Anonymous
"The Black Rider was everything I hoped it would be - vivid, engrossing, irreverent and grotesque. I loved the gothic cabaret style, and the often disjointed sequences." ~ Joe, Vancouver
