A NOVEMBER THEATRE PRODUCTION, PRESENTED BY THE ARTS CLUB AND THE PUSH INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL

January 16–February 9, 2008 | Granville Island Stage

“Six are yours and hit the mark, one is mine and hits the dark.” Music legend Tom Waits, literary icon William S. Burroughs, and avant-garde theatre artist Robert Wilson joined forces to create The Black Rider, an expressionist musical wonderland of doom and bliss. Based on a German folktale, this Faustian fable of addiction and loss exposes the price some are willing to pay for love. Sensuously staged with macabre precision, it has garnered praise worldwide.

“Among the most memorable shows I’ve ever seen” —The Georgia Straight

Winner of the New York Fringe Festival Award for Best Direction
