Premiere
“Irony’s well out of your reach, it requires wit.” Inspired by theatrical legend Tennessee Williams’s 1981 visit to Vancouver to premiere his latest work, award-winning Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor ponders what happens when greatness—whether it is talent, loyalty, or beauty—slips away. Simultaneously witty and affecting, this imaginary story complements the Arts Club production of Williams’s first masterpiece, The Glass Menagerie.

REVIEWS
I do declare, His Greatness is a great piece of theatre.
More than mere homage to Tennessee Williams, Daniel MacIvor's
superb study of a fading Southern playwright is a finely detailed story
with nuance to spare. Better yet, its premiere production is wrapped in a
stellar package worthy of any world stage.

"An absolutely stunning performance. Each actor is stellar in their own way: engaging, convincing, heart warming, and brilliant. Hands down, it makes people want to see it again for the first time." ~ Dana, Surrey
