Audience

"A good salesman can gain your attention within 30 seconds and Gerard Plunkett did just that in the opening scene. He continued to have my attention in every scenario right to the end. He was outstanding in his role. Eric McCormack equally fascinated with his slick body language and persuasive sales pitch. The entire male cast was a study in the stress to make a living. We can all identify with them"
—Shirley, Vancouver

"I heard the language was "strong" so I was prepared. The actors provide excellent theatre! Job well done!"
—Anonymous

"This show was absolutely fantastic. We were so wrapped up in the words and the way they were being delivered by these extraordinary actors. Really, really well done by everyone - If you still can - GO!!"
—Crista, Richmond

"Fabulously entertaining - the acting was second to none!!!"
—Lorraine, Coquitlam

"Great performances by all actors, especially Mr.McCormack. Both my husband and I enjoyed the show, but was disappointed to see it end. We were two rows from the front so got to witness the play fairly close up and personal as well as the spit & sweat of the actors! Wonderful job gentlemen!!"
—Glenda, Burnaby

"This was an excellent production, modeled, I think, on Mamet's own direction of the film version, though of course without the added Alec Baldwin character included in the film."
—Anna, Nanaimo

"I went to the current production with my son, who is an avid David Mamet fan and who recently saw his latest play in New York. We both really enjoyed it - in spite of the colourful language - and thought it was very well acted."
—Patricia, Vancouver

"A stellar cast of testosterone fueled men who banter & shout their way through business, sales, commission, racism, sexism and crime (both actual and moral crimes). Glengarry Glen Ross moved a breakneck speed and completely enthralled the audience. In no time, the crime and investigation were completed, leaving the audience wanting more. The only caveat...not for the faint of heart, with all the f-bombs and colourful language that emerged from each and every character. In fact, I thought the lady next to me was going to pass out! A fantastic show & a must see!"
—Bennett, Vancouver

"My wife, Betty, and I enjoyed the show. It showed the greed of men who wanted $$ and virtually nothing else. The actors were terrific and played their rolls very well. You could tell at the end of the show how the audience liked the show."
—Gordon, White Rock

"I wondered if the cast could match the movie performance of Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris etc., but they did. Great direction, brilliant acting .. an overall stellar accomplishment."
—Bruce, Ladysmith

"I attended the matinee performance this last week with my daughter. We were very impressed with the caliber of the acting. It was really very well done and Eric McCormick was excellent too. It was fascinating to see him in such a different role. He was strong and obviously very experience as an actor. Kudos to all the cast. I was privileged to get a front seat into what the male world was in Chicago in the 1960's days and what a tough world the "Sales" world was. Gave me insights into what it would be like to lose a sale! Great cast for a difficult play."
—Hadrianna

"On holiday from Scotland, loved the show, the theatre is a great venue, the cast were great. Being tired from travelling the length of the production was ideal for us, it kept us riveted from start to finish."
—Harry

"The performance was most enjoyable. Excellent casting for all roles. Quite humorous and true to the stereo-typical image of salesmen. I plan to attend future shows of various productions. Congratulations to one and all involved."
—Lynn, Surrey

"The best way to enjoy a David Mamet piece - stripped of all access - leaving only an astounding and mesmerizing dialogue between men held in complete and all encompassing thrall of making a big sale. Loved it - not a man on stage missed the mark."
—Julia, South Surrey

"Like most I had seen the excellent film adaptation first and I wondered if the performances of the stage play cast would be as stellar as those of Lemmon, Pacino et all. I need not have worried; the performances in the stage version were equally as compelling as those in the film version--and some cases even more absorbing. As a result this play will draw you in and demand your attention right to its tragic ending."
—Chris

"I was thoroughly captivated by the rawness of the performance. I felt the desperation of the characters."
—Juliana, Vancouver

"I thought it was one of the best shows I have ever seen at the Arts Club. Vincent Gale is fantastic as are the entire cast. Smart set, lights and costumes. Might see it again."
—Gerald

"Both my husband and I had never seen Glengarry Glen Ross before and enjoyed this production immensely. We have seen various plays both in New York and London and felt that this production could be on a stage in either city. Each actor more than fulfilled his part. Excellent production. Bravo!"
—Lesley, Langley

"An outstanding production of a great play. A clinic in stage acting. What a treat to see real professionals bring Mamet's distinctive rhythms to life!"
—Arthur

"Absolutely loved it! The acting was just phenomenal! I've never seen a production I didn't love from the Arts club. Thanks so much for an enjoyable evening..."
—Sheryl, North Vancouver

"This was the best play I have seen in years...."
—Ian

"Absolutely an amazing play – great acting! Lots of shocking swearing and kicking mixed with testosterone galore. Go see it now.. drop everything and buy some tickets!"
—Danielle

"This was a very intense play in which the acting was superb by all cast members. The dramatic dialogue held your rapt attention, but allowed for some comic relief. I don't believe I have ever been so engrossed by a production!"
—Paula, Surrey

"The show was riveting. I couldn’t believe it was intermission and then it was over - it just flew by. The acting was outstanding. Awesome."
—Lisa

"Excellent show - well done"
—Meira, Israel

"I saw this Friday night and it was fantastic! The acting was superb as was the incredibly great lighting in the office. The blue/white lights gave the office that horrible cold fluorescent look – the cold look we all hate. I found the play quite disturbing due to the great acting. Each character was very believable and the desperation in each one was very apparent. Well done! It will get great reviews!"
—Gayle, North Vancouver

"This was a great show-it may be our favourite for this season. All of the actors were fantastic-I've never seen "Will and Grace"-I may have to look it up!"
—Jane, Sechelt

"It was great!"
—Kimberly, Vancouver

"Fantastic. There needs to be more of this caliber of productions in Vancouver."
—Claudette, Burnaby

"It was absolutely fabulous. I was thoroughly entertained. All the actors were superb and Gerard Plunkett deserves special mention. His Shelley Levene was totally believable - desperate and sad. I would say that his performance is up there with Jack Lemmon."
—Meng

"The best play of the season"
—Carole

"It was fabulous! Loved the second act. The actors were intense in all the right places! Would highly recommend this production."
—Kim, Surrey

"From start to finish, this is a top notch production. My wife and I were visiting from the States and were quite impressed. Of course we expected to be as we were also at Les Miz last year and it was as good as the Broadway version that we have seen in the past. Keep up the good work and see you next July!"
—Tim

"Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize winning work is admirably delivered by the veteran cast in the Arts Club presentation of Glengarry Glen Ross. The authenticity of the character portrayal is a tribute to the experience of this all-male cast. Mamet’s liberal use of “the F word” doesn’t detract from the audience connecting with characters. Gerard Plunkett’s Levene, however, is a sweet old guy – a lot like your Grandpa. No one really wants to hear their Grandpa speak like that! But don’t let that “F word” deter your enjoyment. Audience members surrendered and were flies on the wall of two beautifully crafted sets. I know many of the ladies in the audience were there to see Eric McCormack and he does not disappoint. He introduces us to Roma, who is suitably sleazy with the right amount of gaudy jewelry. At the same time he is ever-so endearing. I’d be happy to bring my chequebook and sip tea in a restaurant booth with him any time."
—Donna, Delta

"Strong male energy depicting the cut throat world of sales as the characters sell themselves, each other and their clients lie upon lie.
Each actor contributes to the high calibre over all performance for a thoroughly enjoyable evening of live theatre"
—Anna, Vancouver

"They put their heart and soul into the characters they were playing. Two thumbs up for everyone and having McCormack perform with fellow Canadians gave it a little more of a wow factor"
—Odile

"I found this play very slick and polished; well done to each and every actor and I highly recommend this play to all who can go!"
—Robert, West Vancouver

"This David Marnet play is full of engaging dialogue, thought provoking pauses and intriguing characters totally committed to self survival in the cut throat world of a sales office. Performed by very strong, evenly balanced cast every element of this production measures up to the highest standards found on the West End or Broadway stage"
—David, North Vancouver
