AN EERIE DOSE OF IRISH HOSPITALITY. HAUNTING STORIES RISE FROM THE RIVER’S EDGE.
“We’ve had enough of them old stories…We won’t be able to sleep in our beds!”-Finbar

As they have for years, four bachelors gather in a tiny rural Irish pub for night of blarney. A new arrival, a beautiful young woman with a devastating secret, turns the tables when she reveals what has brought her to this desolate part of Ireland.

Winner of the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Play and the 1997 Evening Standard Drama Award for Most Promising Playwright, Conor McPherson has always made his craft look remarkably easy. His first notable play, This Lime Tree Bower was rapturously received when he was only 23 and fresh out of University College, Dublin. In the six years since, he has written half a dozen plays and screenplays. With The Weir  a phenomenal success on Broadway and in the West End -he has established himself as perhaps the pre-eminent narrative dramatist of his generation.

“Unmissable…Exceptional –a spellbinder that transfixes you…No praise, in fact, is too high ” ~The Guardian

”Never mind play of the week, this is my play of the decade. A modern masterpiece!” ~ The Express, London
