ABSURDITY, DIVERSITY, ECCENTRICITY, AND VELOCITY
The Number 14 is a fast-paced, satirical look at a day in the life of
a downtown bus ride. Six performers strut, swing, sing, and talk their way
in and out of adventures aboard Vancouver’s #14 bus. It’s an
award-winning theatrical tour-de-force that is part Monty Python, part Mr.
Bean and wholly engaging. The Number 14 has been wowing audiences
since its debut in 1992, picking up fans and awards in the U.S., Hong Kong,
Israel, Ireland, France, Austria, Belgium, and Japan.
"Delightful…dazzling, brilliant…astounding! This bus ride is so
exhilarating that you don’t really care where you get off." ~ New
York Daily News
"If you've never seen it, make sure you do-and if you have, go see it again. And bring the kids. I guarantee that everyone will laugh until they're sore" ~ Jerry Wasserman, CBC Radio
"Very Vancouver-and proud of it" ~ Jo Ledingham, The Vancouver Courier
"Fresh and Funny" ~ Colin Thomas, The Georgia Straight
A Note from
Bill
The Number 14 is a hilarious ride. One of the most popular
shows we have presented on the Granville Island Stage, this Axis Theatre
production is zany, engaging, poignant and a journey that everyone will
enjoy!
