ENVY, GREED, LUST AND REVENGE

"Oh Beware, my lord, of jealousy. 'Tis the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meat it feeds on" ~ Iago

Possibly Shakespeare's most intricate and stunning tragedy. Consumed with envy after being passed over for advancement, Iago convinces Othello that his wife, Desdemona has been unfaithful. Iago plots to destroy Othello, his love and his life.

"Exceptionally intelligent and powerfully contemporary." ~ New York Post

According to the Accounts of the Masters of Revels (published in 1842), Othello was first performed in 1604.

A Note from Bill
This remarkable drama remains eminently relevant today. As a character study it is unparalleled and the story is incredibly powerful. The classics have become a strong and vital part of our repertoire.
