Join David Pay in a conversation about the joys and the journeys of studying music, and the role music making can play in each of our lives. Music on Main is a concert series dedicated to building community through a refreshing concept of concertgoing: shorter concerts, a bar before and after performances, and casual, stimulating environments.

SPEAKER: Red Robinson
TITLE: "The Motown Miracle"

Legendary radio personality Red Robinson was the first DJ to play rock ’n' roll music on a regular basis in Canada. Since 1954, he has helped keep the hits alive on such stations as C-FUN, CKWX, CJOR, and 650 CISL/Vancouver. He has also hosted music programmes on CBC-TV and KVOS-TV. In 2008, the Vancouver Music Industry presented Red with the Bruce Allen/Sam Feldman Legend Award for his support of the local music industry. Red was recently honoured by the Royal British Columbia Museum as one of 132 influential British Columbians included in a giant collage known as The Party.
