KIMBERLY AKIMBO
Book and Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire
Music by Jeanine Tesori
Based on the play by David Lindsay-Abaire
Kimberly Levaco is your typical 16-year-old— except she just so happens to have a rare genetic condition that means she looks 72. And her broke, dysfunctional family has suddenly moved under suspicious circumstances. And scariest of all, there’s a cute boy at the local skating rink who’s making her heart flutter. When her rogue Aunt Debra arrives in town with a get-rich-quick scheme, Kim and her misfit friends will have to decide—is it worth risking a little jail time to get everything they've ever wished for? No matter what, Kim is determined to find happiness and embark on a great adventure. This clever, touching comedy is the winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.
Kimberly Akimbo is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
